About Fiction Mail

Hi, I'm Eric, the person behind Fiction Mail.

Fiction Mail was started as a way to bring back the thrill of opening your mailbox to find a real letter waiting for you. Not a bill, not a flyer. An actual letter. That feeling mostly disappeared once everything moved to email and text, and I wanted to bring a version of it back.

What makes Fiction Mail special

Fiction Mail brings back the nostalgia of getting real letters in the mail, but in this case they're letters from a fictional friend who has an amazing story to tell you!

Instead of reading a story in a book straight through in one sitting, you get it one letter at a time, mailed to your mailbox on a weekly or monthly schedule depending on the series, written as if a character in the story is writing directly to you.

And the letters are personalized to you! Your name is woven into the story itself, not just added to a greeting, and every letter is printed in a realistic handwriting style so it feels like something a real person actually sat down and wrote.

Every series starts with a writer, sometimes me, sometimes one of the other authors who write for Fiction Mail, building a story specifically for this letter-by-letter format. That's harder than it sounds. A good Fiction Mail series has to end each letter on something that makes you want the next one, the same way a good TV episode does. Part of the thrill of Fiction Mail is the anticipation of waiting for that next letter to arrive in your mailbox!

We have series available in many genres. From whodunits and mysteries to thrillers and action stories to historical fiction and even paranormal and romance.

The series are available in several lengths: 4 weekly letters, 8 weekly letters, and 12 monthly letters, as well as bundles, which are a group of series that you can purchase as a discount, giving you up to 52 weekly letters.

By design, Fiction Mail is NOT a subscription service!

If you're like me, you definitely have subscription fatigue. It seems like everything today is a subscription!

Fiction Mail is different.

Here's how it works: You purchase a series or bundle for the stated price and I send out the letters, either weekly or monthly depending on the series chosen. After the last letter is sent, the story is complete.

It's that simple! No auto-renewals. Nothing to cancel. Your credit card is never charged again after your purchase. That's my promise to you!
